So we start out on a new adventure, a BLOGGING adventure.  I’m excited to see where it takes us.  My name is Autumn Nordstrom and I am the Member Services Coordinator for the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fargo Moorhead or FMUU for short.  I am in charge of membership, marketing and outreach for our little community.

Unitarian Universalism is a liberal religion that supports the “free and responsible search for truth and meaning.”  We grow together spiritually as our religion does not have a common creed.  The glue holding us together is our commitment to the seven principles:

  • The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
  • Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
  • Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
  • A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
  • The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;
  • The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
  • Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

The purposes of this blog is for different members of our community to write about their experiences and how it relates back to our seven principles.  Pull up a chair and grab a cup of coffee, you are welcome here …
