Chris and I were fortunate enough to attend the PrairieStar Regional Conference this weekend in Cedar Rapids, IA. Chris wrote a recap of his experience, you can read about it here. Traditionally, all UU events are started with a Parade of Banners. The Parade of Banners is a multigenerational opening celebration. Congregations from all over the district will display their own unique styles, while at the same time we gather to celebrate our shared purpose.
After the Parade of Banners, our banner was hung up in the hotel atrium with the banners from the other congregations; visually representing that the PrairieStar district is an association of member congregations.
